You may have purchased hummus at the supermarket before, but have you attempted to make it yourself? It's super easy! All you do is put all the ingredients into a blender and blitz away. It's that simple.
The basic ingredients of hummus are chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil & tahini paste (which is ground sesame seeds). But you can change it up by adding your favourite flavours. If you haven't got any tahini in the pantry you can easily swap it for Greek yogurt. I must say tahini paste isn't cheap, but you don't need very much so it does last.
So go on give homemade hummus a try, I guarantee the kids will love it too.

2 x 400g tins of chickpeas
----------------------------------------------------------------
1/2 cup lime juice
----------------------------------------------------------------
1/2 cup coriander (cilantro)
----------------------------------------------------------------
1/4 cup olive oil
----------------------------------------------------------------
1/4 cup water
----------------------------------------------------------------
2 tbsp. tahini
----------------------------------------------------------------
2 tbsp. sweet chili sauce
----------------------------------------------------------------
1 tsp. sugar
----------------------------------------------------------------
Salt & pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Drain & rinse chickpeas
----------------------------------------------------------------
Add all ingredients to a blender and puree
